On the Luas

The Dublin LUAS tram system is a state-of-the-art Light Rail Transit (LRT) System.

LUAS has currently two unconnected on-street light rail lines in Dublin.

You have the green line and the red line . Check out the map for the two lines.

To get from the green to the red line you need to walk down Grafton Street, across College Green and up O‘Connell Street to Abbey Street. It is approx a 15 minute walk.

It is a popular luas stop and one of Dublin`s most dynamic business and residential districts.Located in South County Dublin, and is well served by road and rail. The district nestles between the City Orbital M50 and the National Primary Route N11. Approx 24 mins from the St Stephen`s Green stop.

Green Line - Stephen`s Green

Stephen`s Green is the last stop on the Green Luas line stops right in the centre of the city - across from the Stephen`s Green shopping centre and right alongside the park. Red Line - Heuston

Heuston Luas line is a popular stop with links to the mainline train station Heuston. At this stop there is lots for you to do - you can visit the IMMA (Irish Museum of Modern Art) , the Phoenix Park , Aras an Uachtarain (the Presidents house) , hire bikes at the Park , Farmleigh House , Dublin Zoo and much much more. Red Line - James`s

The James`s stop on the Red line is home to the Guinness Storehouse which is about 5 mins walk back down James`s Street heading towards the city centre. It is a fun tour and is one of Dublin`s top ten attractions.
